One of the wonderful components of the raised bed is the ability to build it pretty much anywhere. Here are some instructions on preparing the ground for your raised bed:
- Smooth out area where you are going to build the raised bed so that it will be as level as possible.
- Put down a weed cloth to prevent weeds from shooting out into the raised bed. Try a duel layer weed cloth that allows water drainage. Avoid plastics.
- If you are building the raised bed in your yard, build the raised bed first before laying down the weed cloth. Be sure to have the weed cloth go all the way underneath the wood to avoid unwanted weeds.
